Hong Seng Knitting Case Explained

$900,000 were stolen from the garment workers that make our university apparel. Students around the country are demanding their universities cut their licensing agreements with Nike as a result of Nike's wage theft scheme occurring at Hong Seng Knitting Factory. We, the students, demand our university apparel be sweatshop-free, and that the workers who make our clothes are paid for their labor.

December 2025 update: After 5 years of fighting, NIKE has been FORCED to pay workers their stolen wages! After additional pressure, migrant worker-leader Kyaw San Oo, who was forced to flee Thailand after factory retaliation for speaking out about Hong Seng Knitting’s wage theft, has been paid a historic $42,000 for the hardship he and his family faced at the hands of the factory. In total, 3,360 HSK workers have been paid over $200,000 in stolen wages!
